I am not looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie. The mere mention of Snape still gets me depressed. I can't even bring myself to touch any HP-related material yet.

Why do the characters I love always meet tragic ends? Why can't I ever choose the ones who live happily ever after?

(Uh, because I hate heroic heroes, that's why.)

i'm fine with liking characters who meet tragic ends. that way i know what's going to happen and am not kept in complete suspense. afterwards, i can easily move on to the next angsty deathbait in the next book/show/whatever :P
